Ok so this is not a supperclub, I swear...well it kind of is but not really.
This is the first of a series of testing nights that will, I hope, eventually lead to something I've been thinking about doing...well maybe ?
I'll be doing one on pork, one on fish, one on poultry and game, one veggie, one on beef and one on lamb. You get the picture.
Each one will be a quiet affair with a few people (no more than ten) coming to my house or somewhere local to me and spending an afternoon eating a 6 course plus tasting menu based on one theme.
This is the first of those and the whole menu including dessert will be based on some great quality rare breed pork.
This is the current menu that could change at any point and by any degree I feel necessary.
The food itself will be occasionally chefy but mostly ingredients led and a bit of fun.
The date is sunday lunch on the 27th November and the price will be around £20 or so to cover some expenses and it's BYOB. The place is a direct 20min train journey from Waterloo and has free parking.
Please email (thewaroncookbooks@me.com) or message me on twitter if you are interested and I will book you a place. Anyone is welcome but I have saved a few places aside for people I know, chefs, industry people, food bloggers and Elvis.
p.s
For those of you who don't know the places I have worked include Rhodes 24, The Latymer @ pennyhill park, The Glasshouse, The French Table, The Loft Supper Club with Nuno Mendez and various other places doing posh food. This menu will be very much like none of those.
A little birdy has just pointed this out to me, are there spaces left? (I am related to Elvis)

As the official 'taste tester' for some of these dishes, I can confirm that a fine, fine night will be had by all. I'm jealous I'll be potwasher for the night!
